Customize your sidebar column

With Morphology, you can customize how you want the side column to look with the following options:

  1. All white background (default)
  2. Colour background
  3. Two tone colour backgrounds where the logo area has one colour and the rest is another
  4. Full image background
  5. Small image background

Changing the Colours

  1. Go to Appearance >> Customize >> Colours
  2. Look for the “Side Column Background” and the “Side Column Top Background” settings

  3. Make your colour choices
  4. Click “Save & Publish

Note You will probably have to change colours to your other column elements like the site title, description, menu, social icons, and footer text colours.

Adding a Background Image

There is really only one background option for the sidebar column, but how you want it to show is going to be determined by the size of image and the other image attributes you apply to your background.

  1. Go to Appearance >> Customize >> Header Image
  2. Upload your image using the “Add new image” button

  3. Click on “Select and Crop“. If your image is small or already cropped, you can “Skip Cropping“, otherwise you can adjust the cropping tool to grab the part of the image you want to use. After you crop or don’t crop, your current header image will look something like this now:

  4. Once done, you can then apply the other background image attributes
  5. You also have the option to upload additional images and then click on the “Randomize Uploaded headers” button show each image randomly as your website page is refreshed or visited.

  6. Click “Save & Publish
