Page Titles and Featured images

With this theme, you get a few styles when it comes to displaying page titles. You also have the option to add featured images to the featured page title area that sits just above the breadcrumb navigation:

As you can see, you get the page title that overlay’s the background “featured” image.

You can also have the page titles without a featured image and then use a background colour:

Turn off the Featured Image & Title for Pages

  1. Go to Appearance >> Customize >> Site Options
  2. Look for the “Show Featured Image & Page Title” setting and uncheck the box

  3. Click “Save & Publish

Show or Hide the Standard Page Titles

  1. Go to Appearance >> Customize >> Site Options
  2. Look for the “Show Page Titles” setting and uncheck the box to hide the standard page titles or checked to show them

  3. Click “Save & Publish

 Adjust the Page Title area Height

With this setting, you can adjust the height of the header area whenever you have a featured image, solid colour, and/or title being shown. The above screenshots shows the default height, but you can change that. Please note this setting is global, so this will affect all pages.

  1. Go to Appearance >> Customize >> Site Options
  2. Look for the “Featured Image & Title Header Height” setting and increase the height (in percent) by entering in a number or mouseover the field and use the up/down arrows.

  3. Click “Save & Publish

Change the Title Alignment

You can change the position of the page title in the header area to be right, left, or centered.

  1. Go to Appearance >> Customize >> Site Options
  2. Look for the “Align Featured Image Header Title” setting and make your choice

Change the Header Colours

  1. Go to Appearance >> Customize >> Colours
  2. Look for the Featured Page Header colour settings

NOTE There may be some pages, especially if you use a plugin that has their own templates, where the page titles are not active. In this case, the page title area will collapse and the breadcrumb navigation will simply float upward.
